The administrative offices of the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society are located in the Bar Building, 36 West 44th Street, between Fifth Avenue and the Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Ave.), in Manhattan. Our building is in the middle of the block (south side), opposite the New York Yacht Club.
The bulk of the research resources of the NYG&B have been transferred to the New York Public Library and are cataloged online (www.nypl.org).
A small number of archival resources have been retained by the NYG&B and are available for members to research by appointment. Please contact education@nygbs.org regarding these resources.
