Jerry will discuss the ancient Irish genealogical tradition within its context of Seanchas - the indivisible combination of law, history, and genealogy which was the foundation of Gaelic society in Ireland and the Isle of Man until the 17th century and of Gaelic society in Scotland until the 18th century.

Preceding this lecture, starting at 10 a.m., family historian Kathleen McGee will moderate a help session for those researching their Irish roots.
