Join the Irish Family History Forum on St. Patrick’s Day and dig into your Irish roots. Starting at 10 a.m., Kathleen McGee, Education Chair of the Irish Familiy History Forum, will moderate a help session in which the audience can ask questions and share research stories. At 11 a.m., professional genealogist Joe Buggy will run a second help session, devoted to lesser-known databases that serve as valuable tools for Irish family researchers.

Kathleen McGee, longtime moderator of the Forum's help sessions, served on the Board for ten years. She also coordinates the genealogy mentoring program for the German Genealogy Group and volunteers at the Family History Center in Plainview.

Joe Buggy, a native of County Kilkenny, works with clients tracing their Irish ancestry, as well as provides a range of genealogical services. He also writes two history and genealogy blogs: Buggy Name History and Old Paulstown Stories.
