Records & Information Management Class: Basics for Non-Records Managers

The Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (A.R.T.) and the ARMA Metro NYC Chapter are co-sponsoring a series of basic records management workshops for non-records managers. The first will be held January 30 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the National Archives. This four-part series will introduce records management basics to those who may have responsibility for managing records and information within their organizations. These sessions will provide the principles, concepts, tools, components, governance and policies needed to develop and implement a comprehensive program, and address the challenges and issues of modern recordkeeping.

The series will be presented by Lauren Barnes, CRM, a Vice President for Records & Information Management at Credit Suisse, who is also an Adjunct Professor at Queens College. A light lunch will be served. Registration will be available through the Events calendar on the ART website.

Fees are as follows:

Student: $25

ARMA Chapter Member or A.R.T. Member: $25

Non-Member: $30
