Researching Military Records

On Tuesday, June 11th at 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., NARA will present the program Researching Military Records. Staff will review the types of military records held within the National Archives and how to order records based on service dates and location of the records. See http://www.archives.gov/nyc/public/workshops.html for more information regarding this program.

The National Archives at New York City has moved into its new headquarters in the beautiful Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House at One Bowling Green, in lower Manhattan. The Archives officially opened to the public on Monday, February 4, and its hours are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for microfilm and computer research.
