Naturalization records can be a valuable source of information for the genealogist. On Saturday, May 18, 2013, when Irish Family History Forum member, Marie Lollo Scalisi, will present an overview of naturalization in the United States, including the process, laws, courts, content and locations of records and strategies for locating them. Marie is a full-time professional genealogical researcher, speaker and writer, with twenty-nine years of experience. Her articles have been published in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, The American Genealogist, and other scholarly journals. A volunteer librarian at the Plainview Family History Center for twenty years, Marie’s research expertise includes New York City, Long Island, New England, Italy and Ireland.
