#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
On this Giving Tuesday, we ask you to help us close out our 150th Anniversary year with a bang - donate today to support our preservation of important New York historical records.
Raising $10,000 on Giving Tuesday will allow us to digitize more than 50,000 images from New York collections.

A Message from NYG&B President D. Joshua Taylor
Dear NYG&B members and friends,
Thank you for your support during our 150th Anniversary. We have enjoyed taking the year to reflect on our history and how we, and the field of family research, have changed.
Now it is time to look ahead.
2020 is the start of our next 150 years. While there will be changes in how we research, one thing is certain: The NYG&B is committed to preserving and providing access to as many New York records as we can to ensure everyone can uncover their New York story.
Today, I challenge you to help our team expand our efforts to find record sets that need to be digitized and protected.
Raising $10,000 on Giving Tuesday will allow us to digitize more than 50,000 images from New York collections.
As NYG&B President I ask that you join me in our mission to save all New York records. Go to nygbs.org/giving-tuesday and make a gift today.
Sincerely,
Joshua Taylor
