Having had a love of family stories, joining the NYG&B to help others discover their family lore has been remarkably rewarding and worthwhile.
One of my role’s biggest responsibilities has been to make NYSFHC @ Home as accessible as possible for the community; an inclusive experience for all. Having an all-online New York State Family History Conference means that you can use the internet to meet people where they are. The NYG&B team wants to connect people to educational resources and to like-minded community members. Every on-demand session will be closed-captioned, and since access to the on-demand sessions spans September 1 to October 18, you will be able to learn at your own pace. Whether you are continuing your research in New York State or just starting, NYSFHC @ Home has something for you. Register early for best pricing! Click here to learn more and register.
NYSFHC @ Home participants will also be able to log in to our conference website and have the ability to:
- Create and share (if desired) a profile including your research interests
- Share research tips and stories with others in our conference forum
- Browse a conference directory of other participants to connect with like-minded researchers
- Create a custom schedule based on livestream sessions and other events you want to attend
