24 Hours of Indexing for the NYG&B

Please join the NYG&B for 24 hours of indexing! You can join us from home and work on the New York Land Records Project. This exciting initiative, the result of a partnership between the NYG&B and FamilySearch, will index millions of land records from across New York state. 

You can participate in this exciting project using FamilySearch’s indexing web-based indexing tool. Indexers will capture the name and date of recorded transactions and other information to allow for the eventual linkage of these records with original materials.  

Register for the event and you will receive an email with a link to sign up for a time and further instructions. The more people who join us, the more records will be indexed and will help future researchers!
