630 E 169th Street. Baptized on October 28 1878. Deceased March 22, 1940 in Bronx, New York. Buried at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers, New York. Married Grace Meehan August 16, 1916 at Holy Spirit Church University Avenue Bronx, New York by Catholic priest FR. John O'Brien. First graduating class of CCNY attended New York Law School near Park
Row in Manhattan. Practiced law on Jerome Ave, Bronx New York. In 1940 lived at 3021 Briggs Avenue Bronx, New York. President of North End Democratic Club Bronx. Served on grievance committee of Bronx Bar Association. Received an award for heroism for saving 2 children from drowning. Tennis Club Champion New York and Newport Rhode Island. Captain of baseball team City College of New York. Tutored Charles Buckley who became political boss of Bronx. Joseph was youngest of 11 children. I am trying to obtain a copy of his death certificate. Parents were John Condon born 1821 Ireland emigrated to New York 1850 and Ellen Conlin ( could have been Conlin or Bartholomew ).
