Response Times for NY State Department of Health

Good afternoon,

I was able to locate 10 index records for deaths and births in the applicable NY State birth and death indexes. I requested records from the NY State Department of Health for 7 death records and  3 birth records in November 2018. I understand that their web site indicates that record requests may take more than 8 months but it has now been 15 months. The status page on their web site shows all 10 requests as, "received and is being processed." The checks were all cashed shortly after the requests were sent. Since this is my first time ordering records from NY State, I wondered if any forum members might have a feel for whether this sort of delay is normal or have any advice for me.
