NYG&B Preservation Day

Monday, March 10 from 02:00pm EDT - 05:00pm EDT
In-person
36 West 44th Street, Suite 711, New York, NY 10036
Presented By Kalyn Loewer, Manager of Digital Collections at the NYG&B

Those in the New York City area are invited to come in person to our New York City Digitization Center for a 30-minute session to digitally preserve your own records for free, using our state-of-the-art Copibook scanner.

NYG&B staff will guide you through the image capture and editing technologies that we use in our digital preservation work. Participants will receive a free external drive that contains their own archivable, high-resolution digital files to take home. This is a free event but registration is required.

Once you register for the event, you will receive a confirmation email where you can choose your preferred time slot. (For New York City residents who have accessibility issues and are unable to visit our offices in person, please email digitizeny@nygbs.org to learn more about a free mail-in option for digitally preserving your family history records.)

This series is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
