Hi everyone,

As we have in the past, we will be sharing some New York themed recipes for you to try at home during the Conference. Since today we are only doing afternoon sessions, I will sharing the cocktail hour recipe for classic Manhattan. I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 2 ounces rye whiskey
  • 1 ounce Carpano Antica Formula or other sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • 1 maraschino cherry (preferably Luxardo), for garnish

Directions

  1. Fill a pint glass with ice. Add rye, vermouth, and bitters and stir well.
  2. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with maraschino cherry.

Day 2 breakfast recipe

As we will be starting bright and early Friday, here is an easy, New York City breakfast recipe: Bacon, Egg and Cheese (BEC) on a roll may seem basic, but it is a classic NYC breakfast, purchased at a deli, a bodega or a street cart. Ingredients: • 2-5 slices of cooked bacon • 2 eggs – cooked to your liking • One slice of American Cheese • One bakery roll Put all ingredients on a roll and season as you like. Typical NYC seasoning is ketchup, salt and pepper.
