NY New Haven and Hartford Railroad Employee records for 1860-1880 for Mamaroneck, Westchester County

Looking for employee records for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad for Mamaroneck. I am trying to piece together whether or not my GGGreat grampa AND his son worked for the railroad. The census in 1860 shows my GGGreat (I believe), and later through the early 1900s there is another reference for the same name same area working at the depot. Not sure if they are the same person, or different. They have the same name.

Am looking for any information on these positions in Westchester County, specifically Mamaroneck and Rye Town.

UConn has records, but not employee related.

Anyone had any luck with employee records for the mid 1800s?
