For 15 years, from 1996 through 2010, Dorothy A. Koenig of Berkeley, California, edited and published New Netherland Connections, a quarterly devoted to the families of the Dutch colony, their ancestors and descendants.
Lists of the articles in volumes 1–11 were compiled by Henry B. Hoff and published in the Winter 1999, Spring-Summer 2002, and Winter 2007 issues of The NYG&B Newsletter and New York Researcher. Harry Macy Jr. has compiled a similar list for volumes 12–15 and merged that with Hoff’s work to form the list below.
Each article in NNC is listed here by its principal surname or surnames. The more significant replies to queries have also been indexed. Some annotations have been added to indicate the content of the indexed article. “Origin” means the European origin of the family. When an immigrant is indicated (name followed by 1), the article may contain just that person’s biography or may trace several generations of his descendants.
Note. At the end of the list of surnames is a separate list of articles that relate to many different surnames.
