Commissioned by the New York State Senate in 1863, this orderly collection of 18th century documents was compiled from an earlier (1822) volume that lacked any organizational principle. It contains addresses, petitions, court martials, muster rolls and other such manuscripts. The creators suggest that it may be of use to “historical or genealogical writers.” Includes an extensive index of names.
