The Methodist Protestant (M.P.) Churches of New York City and Williamsburg

This volume contains marriages conducted by Reverend Joseph Johnson White at the Methodist Protestant Churches of New York City and Williamsburg.

Aside from having brides and grooms listed alphabetically by surname, this volume discusses the history of the church and people that contributed to it.

Researchers should note that the M.P. was formed after dissentions took place within the Methodist Episcopal Church. This happened in 1830 and then by 1939 the M.P. and the M.E. Church South were reintegrated into the M.E. Church to form the Methodist Church, which is known today as the United Methodist Church.

This volume was compiled and written by Frank A. Biebel in 2007.
