As part of the NYG&B’s Digitize New York initiative, our digital services team has been working to preserve and make accessible as many at-risk documents as possible. Now it's your turn! To kick off NYG&B Week, you are invited into our New York City Digitization Center to digitally preserve your own records, using our state-of-the-art Copibook scanner.

The New York State Archives Guide with Jane E. Wilcox, FGBS

The highly anticipated reference book New York State Archives Guide: For Family Historians, Biographers, and Historical Researchers provides a window into the New York State Archives holdings. Join author Jane E. Wilcox, FGBS, NYG&B President D. Joshua Taylor, and editor Susan R. Miller, the NYG&B’s Director, Publications, for a look at what the book covers and insights as to how it can help you in your research.

Roundtable Discussion with 2024 Preservation in Action Honorees

Join us for a virtual roundtable discussion with our 2024 Preservation in Action honorees: Rhonda Hoffman, Ruth D. Hunt, Nancy V. Kelly, and Jane E. Wilcox. Our four honorees will share insights and lessons learned from their trailblazing work in and contributions to the field of family history in a conversation moderated by D. Joshua Taylor, NYG&B President.

Digitize New York: New Releases and a Look Ahead

Ryan Gleason, NYG&B's Vice President of Digital Services, will share highlights from our Digitize New York collections released in 2024 as well as the various digitization projects underway, including the progress at the new Central New York Digitization Center in Syracuse, which has been fully operational since June 2024.
