Trace Your New York Ancestors with the NYG&B in New York City!

Join us April 29–May 1, 2025, for three days of uncovering your New York ancestors. With the NYG&B headquarters as home base, you will be steps away from our statewide collections at the New York Public Library (NYPL). To guide your search, participants will receive a personal, one-on-one consultation with a New York expert genealogist at our offices, helping to uncover the right collections and hone research techniques. The program will also include topical lectures throughout the three days, as well as social events—see full agenda below.

In addition to our own archives at the NYPL, you will also benefit from being in close proximity to some of the nation’s best repositories for New York research, including the New York Historical, the Center for Jewish History, the National Archives at New York City, and county and borough repositories, all of which are easily accessible.* Plus, you can access millions of additional records on FamilySearch.org with the NYG&B’s Affiliate Library status. Professional consultants will be available to assist throughout the program.

*Please note that this trip only includes individual tours of some research repositories; an orientation to the resources available at the major repositories will be given before the tour commences.

Act now! Given the nature of this program, the number of participants is extremely limited.
