Lawrence K DuBois

I have been looking for the parents of Lawrence K DuBois, (my 2 times Great grandfather), for many years. He was born in Tompkins County New York according to family history, FAG and other sources in 1820. Judging by documents for land patents he signed with an X indicates he was illiterate. There are a couple theories as to who his parents were but no concrete evidence has yet been presented. I have found only two DuBois families in Tompkins County census records that fit the time frame of his birth.

Flint Family Columbia County

I am a descendant of David Flint (1770-1821). Not much is known regarding his siblings or parents. There is a lot of conjecture but no confirmed connections. I am trying to figure out if there is any relationship between Frederick Flint, Richard Flint, William Flint Jr, William Flint Sr, John M Flint, and Collins Flint. These were all found in various census records from 1790-1820. Based on their ages, I suspect David, William (Jr?), Richard, and Collins were brothers. If so could their father be a William Flint? David Flint's widow and children moved to Erie County after his death.

Seeking Parents/Siblings of Abel Robinson

According to Abel's death certificate he was born in Tompkins County, New York in 1810. He married Catharine Fickes around 1833 in New York. He moved to Ohio and then Illinois where he died in 1879. Some think he had brothers Andrew, George and Francis, but I've found no evidence of this. Also, Abel and George named on of their daughters Deborah Ann. I have read that Abel's mother's name was Deborah, but again I have found no evidence of this.

Genesee County info

Looking for any hints as to locating information on the Ephraim/Prudence Kendall family who lived in the Stafford area of Genesee County. Ephraim was buried in the Old Stafford cemetery in 1834.
We visited several years ago and have had no luck locating any info.
Anyone know of existing church or cemetery records?
We do know Prudence remarried before relocating the family to WI.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Lewis of Orange County New York

I am trying to determine who Jonathan Lewis’ father is. I believe Jonathan was born in New York and lived in Orange County, NY. He was born abt 1775. Per Nathaniel Lewis DC (Jonathan’s son that was born in Orange, NY), Jonathan’s wife was Mary Ida. Unknown maiden name. I have noticed that this Lewis line has multiple generations where there is a John and a Jonathan that are siblings - seems to be a family tradition.

Denn Family of Orange, Barton, Tioga, Chemung Counties

I have been doing research to solve a family mystery. I received results from an Ancestry DNA test and it confirmed my research information. I am looking for ANY information on Christopher Denn (1761-1839) and Alfred Denn (date of birth varies - died 1884).

Italians from Tunis

I'm researching Italian immigrants to Philadelphia who came (and had a child in) through Tunis circa 1900. Where would I look for records for this? I have a ship manifest (Marseille to New York) and US census records.

NY Surrogate Court

Hello,
I am trying to locate records for a 1905 NY Surrogate court case. The Judge of Charity (or Commissioner) was James Mcinerney from Brooklyn City case# 2131 State Case #4168. The case is for my paternal grandfather "William Kerning". I called the court a dozen times asking the same question in different ways but they say to call back or "the Mormons scanned most of those records". I then did a zoom session with FamilySearch but they could not find anything on the case.
