Ten Eyck

I recently found that I am a Ten Eyck. My line is from Jacob Ten Eyck (1738- 1810) Rockland County NY and Rachel Thornton (?). There are at least three Jacob Ten Eycks of this time period. I've mostly ruled out that of Albany as Jacob's Will is probated in Rockland County. I believe that Jacob Jr. died a few years before his father which adds to the confusion. I'm trying to pin down the parents of this Jacob Ten Eyck. If this is at all familiar please respond here or to me at Robinflannery@optonline.net

Thank you

Searching for Father of Adaliza NEWCOMB

Looking for any information or leads that will help me to identify Mr. NEWCOMB who was married to Amanda MILLER born in Connecticut (possibly Tolland, CT, or nearby Granville, MA) about 1809. Their daughter Adaliza Jane (aka Jane, Eliza) was born in New York 29 October 1835 according to record of her marriage to Ezra VAN CAMP in Lexington, Sanilac, MI, in January 1852. Adaliza and Ezra were my husband's 2G grandparents.

1691 New York Governor Henry Sloughter

I am descended from 1691 New York and Massachusetts Governor Henry Sloughter. I know he died in 1691, which is the same year he was appointed Governor by King William and Queen Mary. Henry Sloughter was buried at St Mark's Church. However, I do not know where his obituary was published or where his will was filed. I would appreciate some assistance if you know how to find these records or would like to share facts about my ancestor Henry Sloughter.

William Beekman parentage

I have been unable to trace the parentage of my 3x great-grandfather, William Beekman. He lived in New York City; was born about 1806-1807 and died September 1856. He was married in 1834 to Catharine Louisa Asten. He had six children: Emma (1835), Josephine (1836), William (1838), Clarence (Thomas, 1840), Adelaide (1845), Dudley (1847) - dates of birth approximate. The spouses of the children were: Emma to James M. Talman, Josephine to Joseph W. LaFetra, Clarence to Mary Mead, Adelaide to James M. La Coste, and Dudley to Frances Eldred, Mary Sayre and Agnes Vail.

Occupational Records - Livingston County (and surrounding)

I'm hoping to find resources for occupational records, if they exist, from the Livingston County area (and surrounding counties, as borders changed) from around 1820-1840. Specifically, I'm looking for any records related to shoemakers. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Seaman/Simmons Family(ies) of Rye

I am specifically looking for information on Silvanus (born around 1755 and died in 1818) and Jesse (born between 1756 and 1765). They may have been brothers and somehow related to Thaddeus and Richard. I believe they were descendants of Captain John Seaman, but I have been unable to determine the lineage. Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
