I am looking for a record of the marriage of my great grandparents Henry Cooper and Margaret/Maggie Miller, probably in Englewood, NJ or possibly New York City, circa 1858. They are married in the 1860 census, living in Englewood and their first child was born in 1859.

I am looking for a marriage record for my great-grandparents. Here is all of the information I have gathered thus far.

Looking for any information for Rev Dr Henry John George Wendt (German Evangelical Lutheran). B: 1825, Prussia (Vilnius, Lithuania?) Entered the ministry in 1851. Sent as a missionary to Texas from Boston. In 1858, he and his family came to Pennsylvania and took charge of the Swamp or New Hanover parish: New Hanover, Keeler’s, Boyertown, Hill church and Sassamansville. He remained in Montgomery county until the close of 1864 or the beginning of 1865. He then became superintendent of the Orphans’ Home at Germantown in Pennsylvania.

Which Van Nostrand?

Does anyone know of the location and history of "Van Nostrand's Mill" in Queens, NY?

I am starting to research my mother's paternal line, family name 'Borax'. They lived in NYC starting from the 1880s. I have found little on Ancestry but really not enough to go on.

I am looking for two marriage records. Francis F Clasen born 1898 in NY married Rose Duff born 1899 in NY, date of Catholic marriage 1902 is my best guess because I have a newspaper clipping announcing their 50th wedding anniversary celebration in 1952 in NY.

The other marriage: Henry Dietrich Schroeder born 1878 in NY Married Anna Schneider born 1879 in NJ, date of Lutheran Marriage 1902-04 is my estimate because the birth of their first child was 1904.

Any help in finding these records would be greatly appreciated, I have searched everywhere.

Looking for info on William Brower b. about 1760 in Brooklyn? Married Margaret Hoban (#2 wife?). She was born in Nova Scotia. Marriage: ? guessing approx 1796 in NYC. William was a broker in NYC according to NYC directories. As far as I can tell they only had two possibly three children. Two girls and one boy. Child 1 was my direct ancestor: Catherine Brower b. 1797 and married Alexander Marshall in 1819. Son: (unknown) Brower married Mary Marshall (sister to Alexander) m. 1819. Daughter: unknown. William dies around 1810-1811.

James Monroe Brown 1815 -1882 married Susan Pearson Squires 1815-1860, Susans twin Seth Pearson Squires 1815- married Nancy Brown 1822-1898, Seth and Susans brother Bela married Jennette Brown d.1872. They were all for awhile jewelers in NYC. Some are buried in Sleepy Hallow and James Brown born in Westchester County, Squires from Conn. Would like to know if the Browns were siblings as I do not have James parents, but do have parents of Nancy.

Looking for Phineas Allen Burt's parents in 17-1800s in New York State. Phineas said he was born in Oneida Co. in 1807. Phineas does not own land until he moved to WI in 1863. He is a stone mason and farmer. Married in Berkshire, Tioga Co., NY, to Polly Evans in 1829, first five children born in Cortland and Tompkins Co., Moved to Cuba, Allegany Co. two more children, 1840, Moved to Machais, Cattaraugus Co., four more children, 1850, moved to Amity, Allegany Co.,1860's last child born. Left for WI thru Buffalo and Great Lakes, 1863. Looking thru probate records at present.
